HHP of ENC Members Meeting Minutes
December 7th, 2006 , 6:30 pm

In Attendance: Debra Casebere & husband Joe, Malissa Banno, Malissa Johnson, Mamie Dixon, Peggi White, Rosalie Jacobi Hutchens, Dora Bumpass, Michael Denton, Ayako Brewer & her Husband & brand new baby Ty, Cheryl Stephenson & husband Michael, Susan Vickery Merser, Jan Stolstrum, Jason Walls, Trista Thrower, Travis Reed, Pam Klinger and Tamara Bonner .

A. This December meeting was barely a meeting at all, it was our Holiday Celebration! We had live music from our very own Harmonic Touch Players, Mamie Dixon on Violin, Malissa Banno & Malissa Jonhson with vocals and Piano, & Michael Stephens on the clarinet. Everyone brought a dish to share, we had appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, cookies & cakes and a few of us had brought out own spirits. We had a great time visiting, singing & eating.

B. There was a bit of business as well. We voted for the 2007 slate of officers. All that were nominated were elected. Congratulations to: Debra Casebere, President. Cheryl Stephenson, Vise President. Ken Barnes ( noon ); Katherine Parent (PM), Secretary & Co-Secretary. Rosalie Jacobi Hutchens & Ayako Brewer, Treasurer & Co-Treasurer. Peggi White & Lisa Currin, Membership. Malissa Banno & Mike Brone, Publicity. Travis Reed, Health Fair Co-coordinator. Mamie Dixon & Mei Gawlik, Programs/Hospitality. Melissa Swain, Website Liaison.

Debra Casebere then stud up to thank the 2006 board members for their service along with a sweet gift of appreciation. Rosalie was given the 1st Presidents Appreciation Award from Debra for outstanding service to the President and the members of HHP of ENC.

From Dora Bumpass, Secretary: Thank you to the Board for having trust and confidence in me and my abilities to serve as Secretary for 2006. I have definitely enjoyed being a part of this group. I hope for everyone in this organization, good health (for you and your clients) and prosperity in the new year.

C. Next Members meeting will be January 4th at Greenville Country Club 11:45- 1:00 pm .
D. Nest Board Meeting will be December 19th, at the Port City Java, 9:45-11:00 ish am.

I. Officer/Chair Reports:
     A. Treasurer: Rosalie Jacobi Hutchens/Ayako Brewer
          1. Meeting with Terry Cusak (Business Support Services) to finalize 2006 budget
              and prepare reports.
          2. income was on target; over-estimated expenses
          3. look into spending more on marketing in 2007 to benefit each individual HHP
              member
     B. Health Fairs: Travis Reed
          1. Discussed spending money to upgrade our health fair booth to make it more
              effective
          2. Travis will head a committee to look at cost of tri-fold that will showcase each
              individual HHP business (with business cards?)
          3. Discussed sharing booth space (or being placed next to) HHP members at
              future health fairs to maximize personnel
     C. Hospitality: Mamie Dixon
          i. December Social recap
     D. Secretary: Dora Bumpass/Cheryl Stephenson
          i. Review minutes from last board meeting
          ii. Review minutes from last membership meeting

     A. January – Candace Pearce, Uptown Greenville
         February – Michel Rabey, Healing Touch, workshop coming in Feb.
        March – Sue Ehrlich, ADD, the latest research on whole being treatments
        April – Barbara Memory, ECU Chair of Music Therapy
        May – Phil Dixon, Anatomical Gifts
     B. would like suggestions for speakers in June – November
     C. December will have annual social
IV. Next HHP Board meeting is set for Wednesday, January 17th, 11:15 –12:15, Music Academy of Eastern Carolina, Red Banks Road.

Debra Casebere, President, called the meeting to order and welcomed members and guests.

The slate of officers for 2007 was presented to the membership. The vote was tallied by Mamie Dixon and passed unanimously. Our officers for 2007:

Door prizes of poinsettias and candles were distributed and a wonderful buffet was enjoyed by all.

Music was provided by Harmonic Touch, consisting of Mamie Dixon, Melissa Banno, Melissa Johnson, and Michael Stephenson. What fun we had! We are looking forward to more in the future. Thank you all!
Also, a heartfelt thanks to Michael and Cheryl Stephenson for hosting our social at the Music Academy of Eastern Carolina. It was a perfect location. Thanks!
The next board meeting will be Tuesday, December 19th , 9:45 – 11:00 at Music Academy. The next membership meeting will be Thursday, January 4th, ll:45 – 1:00 at Saeng Thai House Restaurant, 3400 South Memorial Drive. (the Greenville Country Club is closed the first week of January)
