Minutes from February Board Meeting
HHP of ENC Board MeetingFebruary 14, 2006 Port City Java
In Attendance: Debra Casebere, Melissa Banno, Peggi White, Dora Bumpass, Cheryl Stephenson, Rosalie Jacobi Hutchens, Ayako Brewer, Michael Denton.
Topics discussed:
Members will be asked to pay for lunch meetings with personal checks rather than cash to help treasurer's recordkeeping. Guest Book will be used instead of sign-in sheet, to allow for easy updating of contact information. Secretary will deliver book back to President or Vice-President to bring to the next month's meeting. Intake form for events will be shortened and simplified.
Victoria Brown will be asked to create database of contacts made at events.
Melissa Banno will keep member applications on file. Phone tree names were distributed among board members, with Michael Denton to call the next four new members to join.
Membership certificate was discussed, with further decisions about this to be made later.
Members requesting snail mail will be notified by Peggi White, with the member to supply envelope and postage.
Deadline for newsletter information to be sent to Debra Casebere is one week after the general meeting. Debra will review the information and send to Peggi for formatting. Board members will then review and approve the information, and Peggi will send to the webmaster to post online. A standard format will be used for all newsletters, i.e. Membership Report, Treasurer's Report, etc.
It was decided that funds are now available to order business cards, and Rosalie Jacobi Hutchens will do so.
Continuing Education information should and will have its own category on web site for LMBT and other interested members to access.
Next board meeting is on March 14, 2006 at Port City Java. John Lee from Achieve magazine will present board with ad information at March meeting.
Date, location, and time for board meeting will continue to be on the second Tuesday after the general meeting.
Next meeting - March 14th at Port City Java, 9:45 a.m.
Board members were asked to contact specific members to request renewal of dues and web maintenance by March 1.
